Ryan is available to help tweak scripts to optimize the intended message or learning objectives and can scout and coordinate shooting locations when necessary as well as access a pool of diverse and experienced onscreen talent. For larger sized productions, Ryan has the ability to scale up and acquire the extra crew if required.

PRODUCTION

Ryan specializes in filming interviews, executive messaging, testimonials, presentations, corporate culture pieces, events, green screen, episodic training, onboarding, safety orientations and/or instructional segments, and dramatized scenarios for eLearning. He is familiar with all aspects of the capturing process and proficient in the use of all equipment related to the production of video such as cinema grade 8K video cameras, properly calibrated professional lighting systems, high fidelity microphones and audio recorders, as well as accessories such as teleprompters, backdrops, gimbals, RPAS (drones), and live streaming capabilities for offsite stakeholders.

POST-PRODUCTION

EDITING, COLORING, & ROLLOUT

Ryan has access to his own post-production editing suite and has developed a quick and efficient editing and digital colouring workflow over the last 10 years. Videos can be easily and securely accessed online to review and provide feedback prior to final sign-off and delivery. Thanks to his highly tuned workflow, Ryan can often provide same day or next day deliverables when required.

ANTI-RACISM

Ryan is one of the main videographers for Everyone's Canada and strongly believes in the organization's commitment to multiculturalism, pluralism, and immigration.

ANTI-BULLYING

With the help of his son who did the singing, Ryan wrote and produced both an English and French version of an anti-bullying sing-along anthem for Pink Shirt Day that ended up being shared and played at schools all over Alberta.

ANTI-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Ryan worked with Alberta Health Services to create a documentary of a domestic violence victim who shared her intimate and detailed story so that those working in health services could better understand and identify signs of domestic violence with their patients.

HOMELESSNESS

Ryan is the videographer for the Canadian Association to End Homelessness' Recovery for All national campaign and fully supports the organization's push to encourage Parliament to make bold investments in housing, homelessness, and income support to end homelessness in Canada.

LGBTQ2+ Rights

Back in 2016, Ryan was involved in what turned into a rap battle against an individual who was against the new, progressive transgender guidelines that the NDP government was introducing in Alberta schools. He was concerned about the emotional impact that the message from the original video might have on younger LGBTQ members and decided to produce a rebuttal video to show unequivocal support for them.

SCHIZOPHRENIA

Ryan previously worked with the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta to produce a mini-documentary of an individual with schizophrenia that was part of a larger eLearning course used to help recognize certain behavioural patterns that could lead to identifying potential cases and help families seek the proper help they need.
